The student Roberta Ferriero, graduated in Management Engineering with a thesis in Operations Research at OPSLab of DIETI, was the winner of the Mela d'Oro Award of the Marisa Bellisario Foundation.
Roberta Ferriero carried out the thesis on "Problems and optimization models in Healthcare Management: the case study of the Evangelico Betania Hospital", within the framework of the memorandum of understanding between DIETI and the Evangelica Betania Foundation, within the Project DIETI Department of Excellence "ICT for Health".
The Award, born in 1989 in memory of Marisa Bellisario, annually rewards women who have distinguished themselves in the profession, in management, in the economy and in the social sector at national and international level.
For the newly graduated category, the Award is reserved for the most brilliant recent graduates with 110 cum laude in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Management Engineering from over twenty universities. The selection by three large companies - Leonardo Company, Terna and Garofalo Healthcare - takes place on the basis of academic career and thesis work.
The 33rd edition of the Marisa Bellisario Prize will be held on July 1st at the Rai Studios in Rome and will be broadcast on Rai1 on July 17th, 2021. The participation of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella and personalities from institutions, economics, communication and sport is expected.
