The Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (DIETI) is one of the biggest Departments of the University. The Department hosts more than 200 faculty members, Ph.D. students, postdoctoral research fellows, and technical/administrative staff.
DIETI offers 7 Bachelor’s Degree programs, 7 Master’s Degree programs, a professional Bachelor’s Degree program, and 3 Ph.D. Degree programs. Each Bachelor’s and Master’s is supervised by a Degree Program Board which includes all the faculty members belonging to the course and the student representatives, and has the following main functions:
- to coordinate teaching activities
- to review and approve the study plans
- to test new teaching methods
- to formulate proposals and opinions regarding the didactic system, the didactic regulations and the study program
- to prepare the degree course self-evaluation document
Each Degree Program Board is chaired by a Coordinator whose main tasks are:
- to convene and chair the Board meetings
- to promote and coordinate the didactic activities of the Degree Program
- to submit to the Department Council and to the School Council the proposals and opinions of the Degree Program Board
- to issue the deliberations of the Degree Program Board
- to collaborate with the Director of the Department on the relations with the Evaluation Committee and on the evaluation of the requirements of the training offer
Each Degree Program has referent teachers for specified functions (e.g., internships, Erasmus, study plans, etc.) who instruct the matters to be discussed by Degree Program Board.
