THE PRISMA LAB FLIES ON ELECTRIC LINES WITH AERIAL-CORE

 

Also the Federico II PRISMA Lab, coordinated by Professor Bruno Siciliano, one of the partners of AERIAL-CORE, a research project for the development of cognitive technologies at the service of an integrated aerial robotic system for the inspection and maintenance of power lines high voltage. Professor Vincenzo Lippiello with the PRISMA team, together with scientists and researchers from the CREATE research consortium and its spin-off NEABOTICS, are engaged in the search for innovative robotic solutions that support contact with high voltage power lines, operating at thousands of Volt, without destroying the electronics on board the drone. This objective required the involvement of several professors specialized in both robotics and electrical engineering from DIETI, including professors Mario Pagano and Carlo Petrarca.
